Question 1

What kinds of assets may be eligible for a Plinth advance?

Accepted Answer

Homes, farmland and farm improvements, business equipment, fine art and collectibles, and collector cars may be eligible. Each asset must have a credible appraisal, a workable insurance path, and ownership and condition that can be verified. Eligibility is not automatic; the asset class, documentation, marketability, and final terms are reviewed for each position.

Question 2

What does a non-recourse liquidity advance mean?

Accepted Answer

Plinth can advance a fixed, non-recourse share of the liquidity an approved position supports. The owner does not make scheduled loan payments, and the advance is settled through the position under its defined terms rather than through a personal repayment obligation. The owner keeps legal title, while settlement, redemption, and any future appreciation are governed by the final position documents.

Question 3

What appraisal and verification will Plinth require?

Accepted Answer

The review starts with an independent appraisal appropriate to the asset class, such as a certified residential, farm real-estate, certified-general, or recognized specialist valuation where applicable. Plinth also verifies ownership, existing liens or financing, insurance, condition, and the supporting records needed to calculate the position. The final advance size uses the verified information, not an owner-supplied estimate alone.

Question 4

How long does review take?

Accepted Answer

Timing depends on the asset class and how quickly complete records, appraisal materials, insurance evidence, and ownership documents are available. A straightforward residential review may move faster than farmland, equipment, or specialty assets. We provide timing guidance after the initial information is complete, but no review or issuance window is guaranteed until the position is approved and its final terms are issued.

Question 5

Is an indicative estimate a guarantee of approval, liquidity, or returns?

Accepted Answer

No. Any early estimate is informational and may change after appraisal, verification, insurance review, and final underwriting. It is not a guarantee of eligibility, approval, advance amount, timing, liquidity, investment performance, or returns. Only the final position documents, after review and counsel-approved terms, define what Plinth and the owner agree to.
